Welcome to English Language Arts 20-1
English 20-1 is an academic course designed to enhance skills in writing, reading, viewing, listening, speaking and representing. The ELA 10-1, 20-1, 30-1 course sequence provides a more in-depth study of “text”. Students who aspire to careers that involve the development, production, teaching and study of more complex tests should be registered in this course.
The units in this course are organized thematically. Each unit will possess a variety of genres linked by a common theme. The following is a tentative arrangement and approximate length of units that will be covered in English 20-1 this term:
